Farmers’ Market/CSA Report #9, August 2017

Being at the farm, or the farmers' market, provides me so much more than food. The farmers' market is a chance for social connection, a community of people who value food, and feeding people, the way I do. Farmers’ Market/CSA Report #8, August 2017

The weather was so unpredictable last Saturday that I did not make it out to the Farmers’ Market. This week has been National Farmers Market week, of course, because that is how my life works. Fruits and vegetables need sunshine to ripen, so it was not a surprise that some summer produce is a bit slow arriving at the market. Fortunately, I did find lots of things I can ...

Left-Behind Vegetable Curry

One of the unintended consequences of following a menu plan laid out by someone else for two weeks, is a motley collection of ingredients that were already in your fridge and pantry before you started the menu plan. Ideally, I suppose one would use up what they had before beginning the menu plan. But this ...

Cleanse Leftovers: Salmon-Tuna Crostini

My quest to use up the leftovers from the Cleanse continues. Julia Child used to call it “feasting on the remains”. I love that.
